6. Januar: Tischdecke/Tablecloth

So, die letzte Rauhnacht ist vorüber und wir hatten hier nochmal ziemlich Sturm. Vielen Dank auch an alle Besucher und Leser für die netten Kommentare. Es hat sehr viel Spaß gemacht. Und was macht man nach so einer ,,rauhen" Nacht? Natürlich ans nächste Weihnachten denken!

So here we are on the last day of the Twelve Days of Christmas and we had a heavy storm again here last night. The Twelve Days were a wonderful experience with you all and I had lots of visitors and kind comments. And what do we do after such a stormy last night? Think of next Christmas, of course!

Natürlich habe ich mir neben den ganzen Geschenken auch selber was genäht und zwar eine ganz klassische Mitteldecke in rot und weiß mit Weihnachtsstoffen. Ich habe einfach neun 20 cm große Stoffquadrate genommen, zusammengenäht und mit rotem hinterlegt. Innen ist ein dünnes Bügelvlies, damit die Decke ein wenig mehr Substanz bekommt. Schon traurig, dass ich die Decke wieder im Dezmeber auflegen kann.

Of course I sewed something for myself besides all the gifts: a classic tablecloth in red and white with Christmas fabrics. I made a 9 patch block from 20 cm squares, backed it with red fabric and put thin Vliesofix inside to make the tablecloth a bit stronger. So sad that I can only pull out this tablecloth next December.
