Lebensbäume - Teil 5/Trees of Life - Part 5

Tree of Life Pendant with faceted beads by Moira
Today I'd like to share with you the trees of life mady by Moira. Moira is the artist behind Mystic Pesto and she's incredibly talented with wire. I especially love her chainmaille designs and she often comes up with new weaves she tried and modified, so they have a kind of "personal note". Make sure to visit here Artfire shop or her ShopHandmade site.

One of her trees really amazed me, as she simply left out the beads and made an only wire tree with three colors of wire. Now how cool is that?

Turquoise and Sterling Silver Pendant by Pearl

Lebensbäume - Teil 3/Trees of Life - Part 3

Tree of Life Necklace by Electric Rainbow

Tree of Life Finishing Touch Set by Electric Rainbow

Today I'd like to share with you a tree of life story that touched my heart. Cori, the artist behind Electric Rainbow, designed this tree of life necklace as a fundraiser for her friend, who has breast cancer and no health insurance. To date she has sold over 200 of these necklaces and donated $2000 to her friend's medical bills. So if you like to help and buy one of these necklaces or an additional set with earrings, anklet and bracelet, go to Cori's Etsy shop and look through the trees. There are several colors to choose from.

Please take care of your own health and do medical check-ups! They can make the difference. To all of you, who are battling with some kind of illness, I wish you strength and healing!

Lebensbäume - Teil 2/Trees of Life - Part 2

Tree of life pendant by Cat of Boo Beads

Today I'll tell you about trees with a "twist". This post is about Cat of Boo Beads, who amazes me with her wireworking skills and the fact that she always adds a little extra to her trees. Can you see the little swing in the first tree (Thanks for bringing back childhood memories, Cat!)? And the pumpkin under her fall tree of life? Now how cool is that!

Fall tree of life pendant by Cat of Boo Beads

I also made my first tree with a little extra by adding big red apples to it. My first tree had to be an apple tree, in honor of the tree that held my swing when I was a kid. Sadly the tree is gone for some years now.

Lebensbäume - Teil 1/Trees of Life - Part 1

Trees of Life made by Yeli of Imaginative Jewelry

Lately I saw lots of tree of life designs on the net and it soon became one of my favorite designs. So I started to gather photos and tutorials from blogging friends and even made my own tree pendants. This week I'll show you many trees and the talented artists behind. I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I do.
Today I start with Yeli of Imaginative Jewelry, who describes the making of her tree pendants from the idea in her head to the final pendant(s): she made the two "tree brothers" in the pic above. And that's the fascinating point for me in those pendants: no two are exactly alike!
