T stands for....Adventskalender!

Hello there! I hope you're all well these days and stay safe! I was so looking forward to having a drink with you all this week. The supermarket around the corner from my office has a selection of fresh juices to choose from and I buy a bottle every now and then to enjoy. I already shared the pink grapefruit/dragonfruit juice with you. This time it was mandarine juice. Hm.........to be honest I was a bit disappointed, as it tasted....boring. Like one of those acid-reduced orange juices. So nope, not again for this juice.

Now let me tell you about our advent calendars. Are they a thing in other parts of the world? DH and I gave each other an advent calendar. I made one filled with sweets, which can be seen in this post. DH went creative and I must admit, that it made me smile BIG time. You know I love LEGO and DH didn't like the ready made calendars, they sell in shops around here. So he bought a LEGO 3in1 set and divided the partsinto 24 small batches to put in the boxes. So I can build a bit of the mars rover/explorer vehicle each day until Christmas. YAY!

The alien was found in box no 2. *LOL* Love it!

Meanwhile there is also a little Wall-E/No 5 robot and an astronaut. Here he's sitting in his half built vehicle.

Sharing with T stands for....! Thanks you Elizabeth for hosting!

  1. That is a really creative way to make an advent calendar! At least some Americans that I know do have them, but I'm unsure how popular they are. Quite a few that sound American are on amazon.com. I hope you enjoy yours very much.

  2. What a fun Advent Calendar. I was late getting one this year, so I don't have one. I like the ones with chocolates in them. :-) Happy T-Day!

  7. Oh what a brilliant idea for an advent calendar. My blogfriend Virginia's husband has made her a similar one but she got Lego Harry Potter figures.Have a look on her blog: https://celtichouse.blogspot.com/
We don't usually have advents calendars. I used to get one as a child I seem to remember, but not with sweets in them, I remember opening a little paper 'door' and there would be a Bible verse or a little picture behind it.
I'm sorry the juice was a disappointment. They seem to think everyone likes sweet drinks.
    Happy T-Day,
    Hugs,
    Lisca

  10. I absolutely ADORE your advent calendar. I need to get mine out now that I have a good camera. Like you, I made mine, too. Yours is lovely and I love how your husband divided up the Mars Rover Lego kit. Such a wonderful way to celebrate Advent.

Sorry your mandarin juice was a disappointment. I know the "juice" that comes from my mandarin oranges I get in a can, are quite watery. Thanks so much for sharing your Advent Calendar and your drink with us for T this Tuesday, dear.

  11. What unique and creative advent calendar -Legos!! I love that you make your own calendars for each other. I know they are pretty much available in the US but I never really looked if there was anything other than those filled with candy treats.
I'm not a big juice drinker- I much prefer the green drinks with the veggies in them.
    Happy T day!

  12. I bought one of those 3-1 Lego kits for my nephew for Christmas. I had no idea they were so popular. The alien is a riot! Very clever Advent calendar.

Happy T-day! Stay safe and well. Hugs, Eileen

  15. DH is very clever. Very cool Advent calendar. I have a little Advent tree with tiny ornaments. When my girlies were little they would take turns hanging an ornament on the little tree to countdown to Christmas. Happy T Day
