Sadly I was a bit late for the Thursday Art Date by Rain Frances on her blog. The theme was "Descent" and I think this falcon makes a very quick descent to catch his prey. Did you know that they can reach up to 400 km/h, when they do a nosedive? Amazing, isn't it?

I love your Falcon! You captured the intensity for sure. And no, I didn't know about that 400km/h, that's crazy!! I'm going to add your post to the next theme's widget so nobody misses your lovely sketch! :)
AntwortenLöschenAwww, thanks! Need to be on schedule next time. Yes, crazy.

Thank you! :)
LöschenTerrific Falcon ~ His eye reveals his intensity on his prey. Blessings to you
AntwortenLöschenThank you so much! They eyes are always the hardest part for me to draw, when drawing animals.
LöschenIt's never too late to share art! I find amazing how birds such as a falcon or hawk can spot their prey from miles away and then swoop in to collect their meal. It makes me glad that I'm not a little field mouse. :D Thanks for sharing your talent and work. Have a doodletastic day!
AntwortenLöschenThank you! Yes, they have mad skills such as eyesight and speed. Have a great day, too!
LöschenOh wow that is amazing!
AntwortenLöschenThanks! :)
LöschenLove those falcons and yours is a beauty. We have had Peregrine and Prairie Falcons at our Nature center. We used to have them stoop to a lure for our programs ... there is nothing like it ... they are amazing! Great post, hope we see more of you at Rain's :)
