Lebkuchenhaus/Gingerbread House

Wer weiß, ob wir da nicht eine neue Tradition begonnen haben. Ich habe seit Jahren kein Lebkuchenhaus mehr gebaut, aber dieses Jahr machte mein Freund den Vorschlag, dass wir ja eins bauen könnten. Ich konnte mich dunkel an einen Bausatz erinnern, den meine Oma mal gekauft hatte, mit Ausstechformen, Bauanleitung und Rezept. Ja, und diese Traumvilla ist nun dabei herausgekommen: zusammen gebacken, von mir gebaut und von meinem Holden verziert. Schön, gell? 

Maybe we founded a new tradition here. I didn't build a gingerbread house in ages, but this year DBF suggested to build one. I remembered in the back of my mind, that my Grandma once had a set of cookie cutters especially made to build a gingerbread house and yes, I really found the set, properly packed away at in my parents’ basement. And this dream villa is the result of our first gingerbread house baking attempt: baked together, built by me and decorated by BF. Beautiful, isn’t it?
