Frohe Osssssstern!/Happy Easssssster!

I have a very special Easter egg for you. This is a wasp/yellowjacket nest hanging from the ceiling of my parents' garden hut. This has about the size of a chicken egg and the queen is now working on the fourth layer (you can see the edge around the nest's top on the ceilling). Can you see the different colors of the paper clay she used for building the layers? Depending on where she gets the wood from the colors change. Yellowjackets and hornets are protected in Germany and my family is very interested in all nature-related things, so we leave the nest as it is, unless it gets too dangerous. But so far they (or better "she") do not hurt or disturb anyone.
