Esslöffel aus Quittenholz/Eater from quince

Eine liebe Mitbloggerin von mir, Carola, fragte mich, ob ich auf  meinem Blog schon über meine geschnitzten Löffel berichtet habe.........nach meinem rustikalen Dutch-Oven-Kochlöffel, der am Donnerstag zum ersten Mal zum Einsatz kommen wird, geht es nun weiter mit einem Esslöffel aus Quittenholz.

Löffel/Spoon

Eine liebe Mitbloggerin von mir, Carola, fragte mich, ob ich auf  meinem Blog schon über meine geschnitzten Löffel berichtet habe.........nein, das habe ich tatsächlich nicht getan! Dann ist es nun als an der Zeit, dass ich euch meinen rustikalen Dutch-Oven-Kochlöffel zeige.

A dear fellow blogger, Carola, asked me if I posted about my carved spoons on my blog...........I have to say: no , I didn't so far! So now it's time to show you my rustic looking cooker I carved for my Dutch Oven.

Das Holz ist Buche, das ich aus dem Brennholzstapel meiner Eltern gezogen habe.........das war kein Spaß, diese trockene Holz zu schnitzen, sage ich euch! Inzwischen weiß ich, dass man für Löffel frisches Holz nimmt.......man lernt nie aus. ;)

The wood is beech I pulled out of the firewood pile owned by my parents........no fun to carve this dried out wood! Meanwhile it came to my attention that one usually uses green wood to carve spoons........we never stop learning, right? ;)
