Garden Party Jacket CAL: Part 4 and done!

Nach dem Hinzufügen der Bordüre und hartem Nachdenken, was ich als Verschluss verwenden soll, ist meine Garden Party Jacket nun endlich fertig und ich muss sagen, ich bin sehr glücklich darüber, wie sie geworden ist. Danke an Stephanie, die ein so tolles Muster mit so vielen Möglichkeiten der Anpassung entworfen hat.

After adding the finishing touches and some really hard thinking about the closure (I'm not a ribbon girl, so the original one wasn't for me) my Garden Party Jacket is finally finished and I have to say I'm soooooo happy, how it turned out. Thanks, Stephanie, for creating such a lovely pattern with some many adjustment options.

Nach mehreren Entwürfen für den Verschluss habe ich mich für einen alten Lederknopf entschieden, der einmal den Lodenmantel meines Opas geschmückt hat. Eine handgeschriebene Notiz meiner Oma besagt, dass der Mantel im Jahr 1974 gekauft wurde. Das macht die Jacke und auch den Knopf für mich noch einmal ganz besonders.

After several designs for the closure I went with an old leather button, which once was sewn to the "Lodenmantel" of my Grandpa. The handwritten notice of my Grandma said, that the coat was bought in 1974. So this makes the jacket and the button very special to me.

An der Jacke gefällt mir besonders der Rückenteil, bei dem ich anders als beim Original nur einzelne Runde in der Akzentfarbe gehäkelt habe.

I really like the back of the jacket, where I only crocheted single rounds with the accent color instead of going with the original pattern where the whole back is made with the accent color.
