Fetter Fail und was Schönes/Major fail and something beautiful

Ich habe mich schon so daran gewöhnt, schöne Dinge zu machen, die meistens so werden, wie ich sie mir vorgestellt habe und die ich deswegen liebe. Nun hatte ich aber einen ,,fetten Fail" (wie eine Freundin das nennt *lol*), der sich aber nicht wirklich so anfühlt. Erinnert ihr euch an die angefangene Sternendecke? Gestern habe ich sie meiner Mutter gezeigt, weil ich absolut nicht glücklich damit war. Das Hauptproblem war, dass die Decke einfach nicht glatt liegen wollte. Und dank Mama und ihrer guten Idee habe ich das Projekt nun aufgegeben. Ich habe auch online erfahren, dass das Muster, das ich erwischt habe, nicht unbedingt das beste ist.

 

I got used to making beautiful things that mostly turn out the way I imagined them and therefore love them. But now I had a major fail, which doesn't really feel like one. Remember the star blanket I started? Yesterday I showed it to my Mom, as I wasn't happy with it. The main problem was, that it didn't lie flat, as it should. Her advice was the final reason I stopped working on it. And it was a good advice, as I heard now in several online forums that the pattern isn't good.

 

 

Ich werde später einen neuen Versuch mit einem anderen Muster wagen. Aber nun habe ich aus dem gescheiterten Projekt erstmal eine Puppendecke für meine Nichten gemacht. Süß, gell? Idee von Mama. Und eine Decke mit einem anderen Muster angefangen: C2C (corner to corner)! Das Baby braucht ja schließlich immer noch eine Decke.

 

I will start a new attempt later with a new pattern. For now I made a doll/stuffed animal wrap for my nieces from the failed project. Cute, isn't it? Idea by my Mom. And started over with a new pattern: C2C (corner to corner)! As the baby boy still needs a banket.

 

Hier meine Fortschritte. Natürlich in Regenbogenfarben! Habt ihr auch sschon Fehlschläge gehabt?
