Stoffbezogene Schachtel/Fabric Covered Box

I recycled and old candy box and covered it with fabric to make a gift box for a friend. She always gives me something handcrafted for Christmas or my birthday, too, and this time I packed a pair of crocheted socks in the box. This was my first try in covering a box with fabric and it worked really good. And again given new life to a piece of trash!

  1. what a nice touch to the box...did you use glue or double sided tape?

  2. I used glue (the one that comes in sticks), as I wanted the fabric to be secured to the box in all places. It's difficult to get that with tape I think. Glad I found the right glue at once.

  4. Love it! How did you make the corners so you could still get the box top on? You need a tutorial! LOL, great tip!

  6. Yes, the corners are the tricky part. You have to cut and fold them, so they fit nice and tight. Problem with this box was that it wasn't really rectangular, but had "tipped" corners on the lid.
