Mein Artfire-Shop ist Geschichte, da Artfire keine kostenlosen Studios mehr anbietet. Also kann ich nur kaufen, aber nicht mehr verkaufen. Traurig, aber wahr. Wenn ihr an einem meiner Stücke interessiert seid, kontaktiert mich einfach direkt, bis ich eine andere Lösung gefunden habe.

My Artfire shop is closed due to Artfire's decision to not allow basic studio owners to sell any longer on Artfire. So I am now a "buyer only". Sad but true. If you're interested in my pieces you got to contact me directly until I found another solution.

Eine weitere Schönheit in meinem Artfire-Shop. Diese Ohrringe sind aus Messing und wunderschönen Türkis- und Korallenperlen und wurden vom Schmuck der Tibeter und ihrem heiligen Berg, dem Kailash, inspiriert. Ich liebe sie einfach!

I added another item to my Artfire Shop. Those earrings are made with brass, coral and turquoise and were inspired by Tibetan jewelry and the holy mountain of the Tibetans, the Mount Kailash. I simply love them!

Diese Woche habe ich sogar zwei neue Teile in meinen AF-Shop eingestellt. Es sieht so aus, als halte ich bisher meinen Vorsatz ein und gewöhne mich daran.

This week I added two new items to my AF shop. Seems I'm gettin in a routine with my 2011 resolution.

Zuerst diese Ohrringe: Shells in Clear Water. Das Perlmutt hat einen so tollen Schimmer und die hellblauen Perlen sehen wirklich wie klares Meerwasser aus, durch das man die Muscheln auf dem Grund liegen sieht.

First are those bead embroidered earrings: Shells in Clear Water. The light blue beads have a color like clear water where you can see all the shells laying on the ground. The mop discs have such a beautiful shimmer when you turn them in the light.



Nummer zwei ist ein Charm-Armband mit Muscheln, Perlen und Koralle in einer ungewöhnlichen Farbe: braun. Aber trotzdem eine wunderschöne Erinnerung an das Meer.

Second is a a charm bracelet with shells, pearls and coral in an unusual color: brown. Love how that turned out. Unusual, but still a beautiful memory of the ocean.

Doppelte Venus/Double Venus

Einer meiner Vorsätze für 2011 ist, daß ich mindestens ein neues Stück pro Woche in meinen Artfire-Shop stelle. Das Problem ist nicht, daß ich nicht genügend Stücke habe, um den Shop zu füllen, aber das Fotografieren gestaltet sich manchmal etwas schwierig: ich bin zu faul oder ich brauche hundert Versuche, um ein brauchbares Foto zu bekommen. Aber für die ersten zwei Wochen habe ich mein Ziel erreicht und habe zwei meiner gestickten Anhänger eingestellt.

One of my beady resolutions for 2011 is to list a new piece in my Artfire Shop at least once a week. The problem isn't that I don't have enough pieces to list, but I'm too lazy to photograph or I have to take hundreds of pics to get a decent shot that does the piece justice. But for the first two weeks I reached my goal and listed two of my bead embroidered pendants.

Neues Banner und neuer Avatar/New Banner and Avatar

Meine liebe Perlen- und Blogger-Freundin Moira von Mystic Pesto ist nicht nur eine Schmuckkünstlerin, sondern auch sehr talentiert, was Grafikdesign angeht. Ich kenne ihre Arbeiten von Blogs und Online-Shops einiger befreundeter Künstler und mochte sie sehr. Als sie dann ein Foto von einem meiner Armbänder gesehen hat, hat sie vorgeschlagen, daraus einen Avatar und ein Banner für meinen Artfire-Shop zu machen. Und da sind wir nun! Vielen, vielen Dank, Moira!

My dear beading and blogging friend Moira from Mystic Pesto is not only a jewelry artist, but also very talented in making banners and avatars for studios and blogs. I knew her work from several online shops and loved it. Then she saw a photography of one of my bracelets and said that this would make for a nice avatar and banner for my Artfire Shop. And here we go! Thank you so much, Moira!

Ich habe nun endlich angefangen, einige der vom Giveaway übriggebliebenen Cabochons in meinen Artfire-Shop einzustellen. Sie sind dort zu sehr günstigen Preisen zu haben. Ich werkle ebenfalls an einer neuen Serie mit einer anderen Modelliermasse. Ihr dürft also gepannt sein.

I finally started listing the remaining cabs from my giveaway. They're available for reasonable prices in my Artfire shop. Of course, I will also list new ones, because I work on a new line of face cabs with a different kind of clay. So wathc out!

Was bedeutet Deine Kunst für Dich?/What does your art mean to you?

Ich hatte dieses Picasso-Zitat schon eine Weile an der Wand hängen, auf einer Haftnotiz und nicht sehr dekorativ. Also habe ich heute das daraus gemacht:

Ich habe immer das Gefühl, daß ich nicht atmen kann, ohne etwas Kreatives zu machen, kurz gesagt: ohne Kunst. Die Technik oder das Medium sind dabei gar nicht so wichtig, aber doch der kreative Prozess. Ich muß jeden Tag etwas Kreatives machen oder der Tag scheint nicht komplett zu sein. Wie ein Tag ohne Lachen.

Also lautet meine Frage an euch: Was bedeute eure Kunst für euch? Habt ihr auch das Gefühl, jeden Tag etwas Kreatives machen zu müssen? Ich würde mich freuen, wenn ihr einen Kommentar über eure Kunst und ihre Bedeutung für euch hinterlaßt!

I always had and still have the feeling that I cannot breathe without doing something creative, or shortly said: without art. The technique and the medium doesn't matter to me, but the process of creating does. I have to do something creative everyday or the day doesn't seem to be complete. Like a day without laughing.
