FIMO-Cabochons/PC cabochons

While I'm writing the instructions for my netting classes at the end of April, I had to do something creative. Something for my upcoming classes next winter. I'm going to teach how to bezel a cabochon and therefore one needs some nice cabs. I played a bit with polymer clay and this is the outcome, not polished and not buffed, but already beautiful.
The four cabs on the left are made with translucent clay, which is better for windlights, but not for cabs, although I like the effect. The colors seem to flow together. The ones on the right are made with common opaque clay (the two right from the middle) and effect clay in gold and silver (the two far right).

  2. As the blog is bilingual, you could start right away and at least pick up some words in German. :-)

They are very beautiful. I like them. Are these all, you made, or is it any more?

  5. I agree definitely beautiful already. Actually some of them will look really good matte ie unpolished.

Those are are all I made so far, but I still need some for my class in January, so they won't be the last ones.
I sanded and buffed some of them and they look even nicer with a shiny finish, but still matte. Kind of satiny!

  9. Those are beautiful!! Especially the black and white one.

  10. Yes, the black and white one is my fav, too. Gladly I could remove the black fingerprints on top I left from conditioning the black clay. Wet sanding paper is a great gift! ;-)
