Sind die nicht süß? Diese Geschenkanhänger sind ebenfalls im Zuge meiner Kartenbastelei entstanden und wenn man erstmal in Schwung ist.... :-)

Geburtstagskarten/Birthday Cards

Hier sind zwei der Karten, die ich am Wochenende gebastelt habe. Von den anderen gibt es leider noch keine Fotos, deshalb erstmal zwei.

Ich denke schon über Weihnachtskarten nach, damit ich damit nicht wieder so spät dran bin.

Mama und Papa Afrika

Was war los im Drawing Lab letzte Woche? Bei mir waren die Löwen los! Ich habe mir die erste Lektion als Students Choice ausgesucht und Katzen gezeichnet. Ok, große Katzen. Für die Inspiration habe ich mir ein paar Fotos angeschaut und die beiden sind herausgekommen.

So what was up in Drawing Lab last week? I went back all the way to lesson 1 and drew some cats. Big cats. Lions. I used some photos for inspiration and drew a female and a male lion.

Sie sieht aus wie die Königin von Afrika.
She looks like the Queen of Africa.


Und er sieht eher wie Clarence der schielende Löwe aus.
And I think he is more a Clarence type of lion.

Artfire ist Geschichte/Artfire is History

Mein Artfire-Shop ist Geschichte, da Artfire keine kostenlosen Studios mehr anbietet. Also kann ich nur kaufen, aber nicht mehr verkaufen. Traurig, aber wahr. Wenn ihr an einem meiner Stücke interessiert seid, kontaktiert mich einfach direkt, bis ich eine andere Lösung gefunden habe.

My Artfire shop is closed due to Artfire's decision to not allow basic studio owners to sell any longer on Artfire. So I am now a "buyer only". Sad but true. If you're interested in my pieces you got to contact me directly until I found another solution.

Die Planeten-Serie: Neumond/The Planet Series: New Moon

Heute ist zwar Vollmond, aber ich dachte, ich zeige euch trotzdem meine neueste Perlenkreation: den Neumond. Diesmal ist es eine Brosche geworden mit einem schönen blauen schlafenden Mondgesicht. Ich finde, diese Farbkombination wirkt so richtig beruhigend. Und ich finde, er paßt toll in die Planeten-Serie, zusammen mit seinem Bruder, dem Vollmond. Also vergesst nicht, euren Vollmondwunsch zu wünschen!

Today is full moon, but I though I'd show my newest bead creation: the New Moon. This time I made a brooch with a beautiful blue sleeping moon face cab. The color combo seems to be very calming. And I think he fits very well into the Planet Series, together with his brother, the Full Moon. So don't forget to make your full moon wish today!

Asien/Asia

Scheint so, als fühlte ich mich in letzter Zeit zu asiatischen Designs und Gesichtern hingezogen, angefangen mit meiner Drachenzeichnung und einem der bekanntesten Portraits von Steve McCurry.

Seems like I'm drawn to Asian designs and faces lately. The Asian journey began with a drawing of a dragon and went on with the reproduction of one of the most famous portraits of Steve McCurry.

Für die Mandala-Session in Woche 29 habe ich dieses Yin-Yang-Mandala gezeichnet. Es ist kein klassisches Mandala, aber ich mag es sehr.

For the Mandala session for week 29 I drew this Yin and Yang Mandala in black and white. It's not a classic mandala, but I have to say I like the idea.



Als nächstes habe ich diesen kleinen Mönche gezeichnet. Ist der nicht süß?
Next one is this colored drawing of a little Buddhist monk. Isn't he cute?


Diese Zeichnung einer Geisha habe ich sehr genossen, besonders das Makeup auf ihrem Gesicht. Und ich muß immer noch über ihren Gesichtsausdruck lachen.

I enjoyed drawing thsi portrait of a Geisha so much. I think the most fun was drawing her face with the heavy makeup. And I so love the look on her face, which makes me laugh.
